Swayvee (Ezekiel Swayzee Georgewill) is a Nigerian artist redefining the boundaries of sound with his unique blend of rap and melody. Born on March 17, 2000, in Bariga, Lagos, and raised in Port Harcourt, Swayvee's music roots trace back to local street battles under the alias Fatal Emcee, long before his professional debut in 2018.
Originally performing as “SWAYZEE,” his name evolved into Swayvee, inspired by Tory Lanez’s “Swavey” lifestyle—a fusion of singing and rapping. Although he grew up in a non-musical household, his passion was ignited by love, pushing him to pursue music seriously. That same year, he signed with Etins Records and released his debut single "DMS", which showcased a deeper, more versatile side of his artistry and has since amassed over 200,000 streams.
Influenced by global and local icons like Tory Lanez, Mr Eazi, Burna Boy, Runtown, and Wizkid, Swayvee's style fuses Afro-fusion, rap, and alternative vibes. In 2020, he began building his fanbase through raw, Audiomack-exclusive freestyles, eventually forming a loyal community known as the Shhtars.
His breakout moment came with “Wild” alongside Yarden, followed by his “How to Sway” freestyle series. In 2021, he went independent, launching his creative brand Weirdsid3—a platform that fosters art beyond music. The same year saw the release of his acclaimed EP “The Lost Files”, featuring standout tracks like “Magical,” “All My Life,” and “Waka Waka Baby.”
In 2023, he co-founded The Rage Room with Yarden—a genre-blending concert concept for youth expression—while releasing “Para” with Zhus Jdo, premiered at the Bole Festival. Other collaborations included “Baby Sanna Remix” with Khan Ray Szn and “So Cold” on Yarden’s debut EP featuring Morien.
Swayvee kicked off 2024 with multiple features on Pressplay’s debut album, including fan-favorite “Drowsy”, which earned a co-sign from Mr Eazi. His long-anticipated debut EP, “Perswaysion”, is set to drop in 2024, starting with a two-pack single on September 11.
Known for his love of astronomy, spirituality, gaming, and a distinct extraterrestrial aesthetic, Swayvee continues to push creative boundaries through both music and his brand. With each release, he deepens his mark on Nigeria’s evolving music scene—blending emotion, art, and energy into every track.
