Chris Brown in Police Custody Over Assault Charges

American R&B star Chris Brown has been remanded in custody in the United Kingdom following serious assault allegations stemming from a nightclub incident in London.

The 36-year-old singer appeared in a Manchester magistrate’s court on Friday after being arrested at a hotel in the northern city.

The alleged assault occurred on February 19, 2023, at Tape, a prominent nightclub in central London. Brown is accused of attacking a music producer with a bottle during what prosecutors have described as an unprovoked act of violence.

Prosecutor Hannah Nicholls told the court it was “an unprovoked attack with a weapon in a nightclub full of people.”

Chris Brown, known for hit songs like Loyal, Run It, and Under the Influence, is now facing mounting legal trouble — just weeks ahead of the launch of his “Breezy Bowl XX” world tour, which was set to kick off on June 8 in the Netherlands and include several UK dates.
