In a touching act of remembrance, a group of supporters recently visited Phumlani Cemetery in East London to clean the graves of the late singer and her sister—an emotional tribute that shows her legacy is still very much alive.
Zahara, born Bulelwa Mkutukana, passed away on 11 December 2023 due to liver complications, leaving South Africa in mourning. Her soulful voice and heartfelt lyrics had become a source of comfort and strength for many.
A moving TikTok video shared by @simunye_saba captured the moment fans tended to Zahara’s final resting place with care and reverence.
The clip was captioned, “Let’s go and clean Zahara and her sister’s grave… Gone but not forgotten,” and quickly amassed over 13,000 likes and hundreds of heartfelt comments.
